I have a cheese form that is a partial cone shape that takes a gallon''s worth of milk solids. I want to make molds out of pvc piping and need to figure out the height and width. This all started with the partial cone volume, then I worked backwards.

Purpose of use
I need to mix epoxy to fill a rectangular form. I have broken the bulk materials into 2 oz plastic cups. I needed to know how many sets of the cups I would need to fill the area. I had calculated by averaging the radius of the upper and lower circles. My result was 8.16, your calculation was 8.84. I knew mine wouldn''t be exact, but wanted to see how close my rough method was to actual.

This website is very useful. For years I had a spreadsheet that I set-up the formulas for various calculations similar do what you provide. My old way works, but it was slower especially when I had to create a new entry for a different formula.
