God knows how all those formulas work but I had to find the impedance of a circuit with 18 ohms resistance, 100mH of inductance and a 50Hz supply. Shame there''s no field for power supply, if that makes any difference? 110V I was looking for.

For modulation ciruits, using a paralle circuit, with frequency of 600kHz, a capacitance of .000352uF, inductance of 200uF and resistor of 10.5 ohms. What is the effective resistance, calculated value of reactance, the Q, and bandwidth?

The phase angle should be:

Theta = tan-1[R(1/WL - WC)]

Your formula would yield reverse sign of the angle.
from Keisan
We have corrected the formula.
Thank you for your advice.

Comment/Request
our professor gave us a different formula in impedance of RLC parallel

(R)(XL)(XC)
z = ___________________________________

√(XL^2) (XC^2) + (R^2) (XL-XC)^2

( i dont know how to get the right answer, why in electronics doesn't have a formula for checking the computation like in algebra or trigo?)
