- I had major surgery and general anesthesia 3 times in 2 weeks. My starting number was 500 and I was told just to try to get it to 750 then 1000. then I was discharged after being in the hospital for a month. Nothing more was done. Three months later was wondering if more could be done. I have it up to 1500. Now I understand how to use it and what my goal should be. I have a ways to go. Thanks
