Very useful info. I kinda surprised myself as I tested 215ml over what is average for a 45 year old guy. And I was a heavy smoker for 22 years.

Using a spirometer after surgery to prevent pneumonia. Got curious about what the normal vital capacity should be for a person of my age and height.

My goal since my 20s was to maintain vital capacity and mobility when I got old. I am old now and doing OK... but thought I would do better than being equivalent to a 45 year old. But my spirometer sucks - it's 2 big bottles and a straw.
