Vital capacity is the maximum amount of air that can be exhaled after a maximum inhalation.
It can be dependent on age, sex, height etc and it falls as it grows.
male: vital capacity(ml)=(27.63−0.112×age)×height(cm)
female: vital capacity(ml)=(21.78−0.101×age)×height(cm)

    Very useful info. I kinda surprised myself as I tested 215ml over what is average for a 45 year old guy. And I was a heavy smoker for 22 years.
